Problem:

User experiences an error message in ADP software which states 'Another User is running...'


Background: 

The reported error occurs when the same ADP license is already registered as running with the background application Total Tide (TTService). 

The TTService application runs in the background of all ADP publications. 

 

This message will be displayed when ADP is operating on a computer which is part of a server network. ADP is not designed/permitted/supported for use in a server environment. 

 

 This can also happen when ‘Fast User Switching’ occurs allowing user sessions to remain running in the background whilst another user logs on and uses the same PC.


Solution: 

To resolve this issue, please restart your computer. The TTService will then be restarted as well, freeing the blocked session.
